We strive to incorporate classic training methods with natural horsemanship ideals.
We perform the ground work at home in a low stress environment. We have a small number of horses at home at any given time, allowing us to handle everybody daily and to get to know them. Once the horses are of an age to be started under saddle, they already have basic ground manners, are saddled, bited, and often backed. Our weanlings are hand walked all over the property, through the woods, in the sand ring, visiting the neighbours, through the creeks and rivers in order to get them used to being lead and to different environments and circumstances, away from the comforts of their paddock mates.
We send our horses out to professionals to start and train. We employ the best trainers and riders in the local equestrian community to assess and train our horses. We have had the pleasure of sending our horses out to grand prix dressage rider Pat Jamieson for training. We have also had Canadian Olympic team eventer Gary Roque provide us with assessments and opinions. We have had the pleasure of working with Anne Gage who is a silver certified Chris Irwin trainer. More recently, we have had Frankie Chesler-Ortiz and Juan Ortiz provide valuable opinion on the competitiveness of our young horses. We will be sending Vorame to them in the summer of 2007 to work their magic on her. We look forward to continuing to work with world class athletes thereby allowing us the opportunity to offer sane, sound horses for sale with solid and reliable foundations in the art of riding.
